Dr. Grimm is a residency-trained Optometrist and Fellow of the Scleral Lens Society. She specializes in medical optometry with an emphasis on ocular disease and specialty scleral lens fittings for normal and diseased corneas. Dr. Grimm also sees patients for comprehensive eye examinations, advanced and routine contact lens fittings, including soft, rigid-gas permeable, multifocal and hybrid lenses.
Dr. Grimm manages various eye conditions such as Keratoconus, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, and Diabetic and Hypertensive Eye Disease. Dry eye examinations are part of Dr. Grimm's daily patient care and some of the specialized treatment offered include punctal plugs, amniotic membranes, serum tears, ILUX and BlephEx procedures. She also co-manages patients for their pre- and post-operative cataract and LASIK surgeries.
Dr. Grimm graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) outside of Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Grimm completed her residency training in a multi-specialty ophthalmology practice in Tampa, FL with an emphasis on ocular disease and refractive surgery. Her residency is an accredited program by PCO, where she was awarded the Bernard Blaustein Resident Excellence Award. This prestigious award is given to one graduating resident who exemplifies optometric excellence and outstanding growth during their residency training.
Other awards Dr. Grimm received are Clinical Excellence in Primary Care 2017, Excellence in Specialty Contact Lens Award 2017, and Blanchard Scleral Lens Award Recipient. Dr. Grimm also completed supplemental coursework at PCO in the advanced studies of contact lenses and diseased corneas.
Dr. Grimm serves as a Preceptor for student interns from PCO where she mentors and clinically trains students during their externship rotations before graduation. The opportunity to work with students is very enjoyable, as it allows her to contribute to building the Optometric Field.
In her free time, Dr. Grimm enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs exploring the outdoors. She is excited to return to beautiful Northeastern PA to be closer to family and friends. She enjoys traveling, reading, yoga, and running.
